December 20th, 2007:  FIRST BWAK UPDATE IN FOREVER!

Where to start? 2007 has been a difficult year for the band, but one that has made us much stronger and has given us so many reasons to be thankful.

In late March, days after we played what would be our biggest show of the year, WRATH became extremely ill with liver disease. The illness came very close to killing our dear friend, but at the 11th hour, while he lay in the hospital on life support, a new liver became available. The transplant surgery was a complete success, but three weeks later WRATH suffered a stroke.

Thankfully the stroke didn't cause any permanent brain damage or paralysis, though it was a major setback in his recovery and gave us all one hell of a scare.

During WRATH'S recovery, which we should note is nothing short of miraculous, we've been working on new material and not only renewing our endorsement deals, but actually (thanks to WRATH) adding a few more, and planning a series of benefit shows the help WRATH and his family. In addition, we're gearing up to play our first show in forever on February 9th, 2008 with the full lineup! We're extremely excited about hitting the stage again, and even more excited about seeing and hanging out with all of our fans again! Because we will have little time between now and then to do anything more than rehearse material familiar to you, we probably won't crack open the new material on the 9th of February. We will, however, be scheduling a private preview of the new songs for our BWAK LEGION MEMBERS soon. WRATH'S close call has lighted a fire under our posterior ends to say the least! We're really proud of the new songs, many of which were to be recorded earlier this year.

Speaking of recording, we plan to be back in the studio in mid to late 2008 to record a follow-up to "FIVE OF SEVEN", which is still selling very well on MUSIC NET, iTUNES, NAPSTER, RHAPSODY, etc. We're a bit overwhelmed by all of the downloads! THANK YOU!

We believe that prayer was a major component in WRATH'S miraculous recovery from an illness that quite literally nearly killed him. So many of those prayers came from you, our friends and fans, or more to the point, our extended family. Your support and words of encouragement meant so much to him while he lay in the hospital, facing the real possibility of losing the long, hard battle. WRATH isn't one to show emotion easily, but one afternoon while reading email and comments posted on our Myspace page, he broke into tears and said, "I can't believe so many people care about me." They were tears of joy, obviously, and we believe the joy he felt then helped get him through some very difficult times, both physically and emotionally. Thank you for your prayers and for your encouragement and for your faith. We hope to come back a much stronger, much more driven unit in 2008.

We learned this year that life is fleeting and can be taken away so easily. Therefore Betrayed With A Kiss will be wasting no time this coming year. The band has been allowed to stay together for a reason and we don't intend to take that for granted ever again.
